On Sunday 11th October Mousehole Male Voice Choir gave the traditional feast concert in the parish church. This concert though, was different. Due to the on-going Covid-19 situation, the concert itself was a virtual one featuring songs performed by the choir and recorded for posterity and available on ‘You Tube’. An Amazing Night For A Wonderful Man

On Sunday 9th February, the choir gave a joint concert with Pendeen Silver Band and St Mary’s Church of England School choir to honour the memory of Rev Julyan Drew. The concert was held in Chapel Street Methodist church in Penzance. For all the participants it was a privilege to participate in the concert as one of the aims was to raise funding for a memorial bench which will have pride of place in Newlyn next to the beautiful bronze and granite Newlyn Fishermen’s memorial. The bench, is designed by the renowned local artist Tom Leaper, in conjunction with....... Read More »

Christmas is one of the choir’s busiest periods in their annual calendar. It is also perhaps one of the most rewarding as well as strenuous in the learning of new music in just a short period of time. Learning commences at the beginning of September even while we are singing the ‘normal’ repertoire. This culminates in concerts in Porthleven at the beginning of December, the Christmas lights switch on in the village, singing at.... Read More »

Although Diana last played for us at the Summer Festival concert in 2008 she had been involved since the end of the Second World War!
