Mousehole Male Voice AGM-2013

Mousehole Male Voice Choir held its AGM at the Bath Inn on Monday 25th March with its new President, Rev Julyan Drew, in the chair and Tim James as Secretary. The Minutes of the last AGM were read and approved. 

 

A very satisfactory year was reported covering more than 30 appearances at concerts,  School Workshops, and Retirement Homes.  The sad loss by death of several valued members was recorded but this has been more than covered by new members joining.  This growth in numbers has required safety and security measures to be installed at the choir's rehearsal room at the Sunday School of Mousehole Methodist Church.

 

Reg Osborne stood down as Chairman after more than 10 years in post and Charles Law was unanimously appointed in his stead.  This left a vacancy as Choir Marshall and Morgan Elliss was appointed.  All other Officers were re-appointed en bloc.  David Strandberg was again presented with the Attendance Cup for his 100% record. 

 

The diary for 2013 into 2014 is already full, including the mass gathering of choristers for the Cornish Federation of Male Voice Choirs in the Royal Albert Hall in November 2013 when Mousehole MVC will be a participant group.
