Saturday 21st May, 2016 - 1:55pmThe choir were really blessed with the weather over the weekend, when 120 choir members, family and friends crossed the Tamar for a weekend away in foreign lands. Whilst it rained in Cornwall, the sun shone everywhere we went! On Saturday, MMVC joined Bournemouth MVC at St Mary's Church Ferndown for a concert in aid of The John Thornton Young Achievers Charity. Singing to a full house with over 200 in attendance, both choirs were applauded with a standing ovation. It was then back to the hotel for liquid refreshment and a sing song! On our return to the county the choir gave a concert within Exeter Cathedral. The sound reverberated around this beautiful ancient building and was a fitting end to a fantastic weekend away. Thanks to Bournemouth MVC for the invitation and presenting the choir with an historical book on their home town. Also many thanks to the staff at The Cliffside Hotel for an absolutely fabulous stay.
