Annual Awards

Each year at the at choir’s Annual General Meeting, The Achievement Cup is presented to one of the choir’s members for their outstanding contribution to choir life during the previous twelve months. This year the cup was presented to Baritone Peter Barron. This was in recognition of Peter and his wife Margaret in the selling of choir CD’s and the extra mile they’ve gone with the release of our latest CD, ‘Hunker Down’ and the second Christmas CD.

On our recent trip to Wales, the choir were fortunate to have a joint concert with Côr Meibion Pontarddulais Male Choir. At the concert they presented MMVC with a Welsh Love Spoon as a token of friendship between the two choirs. A decision was made to mount the love spoon and present this to a choir member annually in recognition of friendship shown to others. The first recipient of the award was to Baritone Paul Worth in recognition of his welcoming to all who come to hear the choir at practice on a Monday evening.

Both awards were presented to the recipients by choir chairman, Brett Farmer who has been re elected as chairman. Congratulations to One And All!
